Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a new coated fabric with identified decor comprising a textile support coated with an elastomeric layer as well as a method for manufacturing it.
Currently fabrics of this type are printed fabrics which have drawbacks, and in particular that of low abrasion resistance.
Indeed, the decoration of fabrics coated with an elastomeric layer is carried out using techniques which use either the statistical inlaying of granules of different colors in the coating layer, or the printing thereof. that is to say the deposition on its surface of a small thickness of ink or paint, for example using printing cylinders. Only this latter technique makes it possible to obtain identified decorations of which the fragility to abrasion is easily understood.
However, the present inventors have discovered with surprise that it was possible to manufacture a new fabric coated with an elastomer layer forming a decoration inlaid with mark, which exhibits remarkable resistance to abrasion.
The present invention therefore relates to a coated fabric with identified decoration comprising a textile support coated with an elastomer layer, characterized in that this layer comprises a first part consisting of an elastomer (A), which forms the background of the decoration, and at at least a second part consisting of an elastomer (B) and inlaid in the first, which has in the mass a color or a shade of color different from that of the elastomer (A) and forms a pattern of the decorations
The textile support used, chosen according to the desired application, can be made of any of the materials used in this field, for example, of polyamide, polyester, glass or high density rayon, and have n ' any structure including woven, non-woven and knitted.
Each of the elastomers (A) and (B is a natural or synthetic rubber chosen according to the application and certain constraints imposed by the manufacturing process. It is appreciated that these two materials have a similar and in particular identical chemical composition.
d) incrustation de la couche de l'élastomère (B) du motif positionné dans la couche de l'élastomère (A).The thickness of the second part is preferably substantially equal to that of the first part -
The invention also relates to the process for manufacturing the coated fabric with a previously identified decoration, characterized in that it comprises the following steps
a) preparation of a coated textile support by coating a textile support using a layer of the elastomer (A) in the raw state
b) preparation of a pattern by coating a non-stick sheet with a layer of the elastomer (B) in the raw state
c) positioning, according to the location of the decoration of the pattern prepared in step b) on the layer of elastomer (A)
d) incrustation of the elastomer layer (B) of the pattern positioned in the elastomer layer (A).
The non-stick sheet is a material having poor adhesion to the elastomer (B) and therefore capable of being easily detached from the latter. It often consists of a substrate, for example paper, silicone.
The non-stick sheet is preferably removed at the end of step c). But it is also possible by taking certain precautions, in particular to avoid encrustation of this sheet in the elastomer layer (A) of detaching this one at the end of step d), which makes it possible to obtain a surface finish different from the pattern and the background, the first being regulated by the size of the grain of the non-stick sheet.
For good inlaying and satisfactory separation of the elastomers in the raw state, it is necessary for the elastomer (B) to have a viscosity clearly greater than that of the elastomer (A).
Pour l'obtention de la même épaisseur des motifs incrustés et du fond il est donc nécessaire que l'épaisseur de la couche de l'élastomère (B) soit modérément supérieure à celle de la couche de l'élastomère (A).This parameter is adjusted, in a manner well known to those skilled in the art, by adding to these elastomers additives such as fillers and plasticizers in small quantities. The elastomer layer (B) expels by encrusting a certain amount of the elastomer (A), which creeps and tends, consequently increasing the thickness of the elastomer layer (A). On the other hand, during its inlaying, the elastomer layer (B) generally tends to spread slightly. To obtain the same thickness of the inlaid patterns and of the background, it is therefore necessary that the thickness of the layer of elastomer (B) be moderately greater than that of the layer of elastomer (A).
It is advantageous to carry out step d) by hot vulcanization under pressure, which is preferably between 2 and 5 bars (relative pressure). The elastomers (A) and (B) used must then be compatible with -vis vulcanization, that is to say be vulcanized under the same conditions.
Additives added to modify the rheological properties of raw elastomers have no appreciable influence on the characteristics of vulcanized elastomers.
It is interesting to carry out the coating of textile fabric of step a) by a process of laminating the sheet of elastomer (A), such as for example coating on the loom, doubling, doubling by extrusion or preferably calendering.
It is also advantageous to carry out
coating the non-stick sheet of step b)
by rolling and in particular by calendering. Leaf
non-stick is then preferably cut according to the
shape of the pattern, in particular using joint templates
with the elastomer layer (B) which covers it. But
it is also possible to give the anti sheet
adherent, the shape of the pattern before it is coated.
L'invention sera mieux comprise à l'aide
The invention will be better understood using
of the following embodiment, which relates to the
manufacture of fabric for making articles
nautical such as inflatable boats, gon tubes
flables and canoes or tanks.
The textile support used is a fabric
polyamide-based with resistance to
2
rupture of approximately 60 daN / cm which has been made adherent by
application of an adhesive consisting of a solution
elastomers. This support is coated by calendering with
layer of HYPALON (brand name of Société Du Pont
from Nemours for a chlorosulfonated polyethylene), of 2
gray color and 350 g / m2 basis weight.
We prepare two types of patterns
different colors by coating
calendering on two sheets of silicone paper, 2 two sheets of raw HYPALûN with surface masses of 500 g / m2,
in color, one "Army green", the other "earth brown" and
cutting these coated sheets on a cutting press using templates having the desired shapes.
The patterns are positioned on the coated textile support and the silicone paper is removed from them.
The vulcanization is carried out at a temperature of 1650C, a relative pressure of 3 bars and for a period of 4 minutes.
Ce tissu est parfaitement adapté à des applications militaires de camouflage The coated fabric with spotted decoration obtained has an equal thickness of the same elastomer over its entire surface. The decor is therefore unalterable during the entire life of the article because the background and the patterns undergo the same modifications whatever the causes of wear (friction, folding, stretching, other mechanical stresses, heat, cold, ozone, light etc ...). This fabric is perfectly suited for military camouflage applications
