Abstract

Device for uniformly metering onto brushes and rollers and permitting optimum cleanliness of the equipment used. The invention relates to a device preventing the brushes and rollers from falling into or out of the container. It enables the liquids to be metered onto the tools and thereof. It prevents the utensils, containers and the work area from becoming soiled. It serves as a support for the tools. It consists of a support 1 which fits onto the top of the container 10 and is locked in place by, for example, an eccentric 2. This support 1 is equipped with a guide 3 in which a rod 4 slides, this rod itself carrying a grid 5 and 5' at two levels, and with arms 6. A calibrated spring 7, for example, brakes the sliding of the rod 4 in its housing 3. By exerting a vertical pulling force or pressure on the top of the rod 4, the user will thus adjust the height of the grid 5 and 5'/rod 4/arm 6 assembly as convenient. The particular shape of this grid 5 and 5' enables a portion 5 to be immersed for metering the liquid 9 onto the tool 8 and the other portion 5' serves as a drip tray for the tool 11. According to the invention, the device is particularly intended for supporting, catching the drips of and metering paint brushes and rollers.
