Abstract

A solid, transparent, hygiene article, esp. for body hygiene, contains, combined with a dermatologically or cosmetically acceptable carrier, a mixt. of (a) 5-50 pts. wt. foaming surfactant, (b) 12-100 pts. cpd. conferring transparency and contg. (b1) 5-65 pts. amide, (b2) 2-15 pts. ethylene glycol and/or propylene glycol, and (b3) 5-20 pts. glycerine, and (c) 5-55 pts. component causing solidification and comprising a fatty acid salt of Na, K, Mg and/or a water-sol. and/or hydrophilic amine. USE/ADVANTAGE - Applications include skin soaps, shaving soaps, solid shampoos and water-rinsable make-up removers. The compsn. remains foaming and solid during use.
