Abstract

A beauty cream, esp. an anti-wrinkle cream, comprises 57-72 wt.% of pure lambs' suet (a), 5-10% of lard (b), 2-15% of oil of glycerine (c), 3-8% of powdered pine resin (d), and 3-7% of extract of Allium cepa (essence of onion skin) (e). Pref., the compsn. contains (a) 68%, (b) 7%, (d) 4%, dissolved in the mixt. in a mixer-beater, (c) 2%, (e) 4%, 6.5% of essential oil of ylang-ylang, and 8.5% of essential oil of sweet orange. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsn. serves also as a make-up base. The compsn. has no topical toxicity, does not inhibit Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae, and has slight intrinsic inhibition to Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It prevents or reduces formation of wrinkles on the neck and face, feeds the skin, retards ageing, prevents dehydration of the skin, esp. on exposure to the sun, removes age soots, and treats sensitive skin on hands, chapping and the sensitive skin of babies.
