Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a compensating mechanism for ceiling blinds. It consists of the combination of a fabric blind with a single winding tube (1) and end bar (5) guided in lateral slideways (6), the winding tube having, at each end, a compensating helically-grooved conical collar (3) enabling two cords (4) used to pull the end bar (5) to be wound up, the said end bar being hollow and containing adjustable springs (8) for tensioning the said cords. It enables a fabric panel which provides protection against sunlight to be wound up and unwound and is primarily designed for use on horizontal ceilings, but may also be applied to arched ceilings or to ceilings having slanting corners, and may be fitted inside or outside, and generally in all cases where the pulling action of the end bar cannot operate by means of gravity.
