Abstract

Sports shoe (1) consisting of an upper (2), a stiffener (4) extending at least vertically towards the top of each side of the heel, and a rigid shaft (5) encircling at least the ankle and connected via its flanks (33b) to the stiffener (4) by two anchoring systems (6b) located on each corresponding side of the foot and permitting the rotation of the shaft (5) according to an axis which is substantially transverse relative to the upper (2) of the shoe (1), characterised in that at least one of the anchoring systems (6b) comprises means for varying the position of the flank (33b), corresponding to the shaft (5), relative to the stiffener (4). These means for varying the position of at least one of the flanks (33b) of the shaft (5) permit tilting of the shaft (5) relative to the median vertical plane of the shoe (1) and/or rotation of the shaft (5) around a substantially vertical axis.
