Abstract

Sterile support unit comprising a rigid base (1) on which are stacked a large number of sheets (2, 3, ...) detachably attached to each other. A substance having adhesive properties is provided between each pair of sheets. The invention is designed especially for medical use.

Description

 The present invention relates to a peelable medical tray. Such trays are commonly used in operating theaters as well as among practitioners because they allow an unsullied work surface to be available at all times, without the need to carry out cleaning operations on the tray. after each use.

 Such plates are known in the previous part. In particular, French patent 88 14 03a published under the number 263808 describes a tray comprising a rigid support structure covered with a plurality of detachable superimposed lights. This document also describes an embodiment in which each sheet has a free tab, these free tabs being covered by the upper sheets with the exception of the tab of the surface sheet.

 Although these plates gave real satisfaction to the users, it appeared that the free tongues were in certain cases difficult to grasp because they adhere mechanically to the preceding sheet when the plate thus produced has experienced a prolonged storage period. This drawback is all the more annoying as the surgeon or the instrumentalist often wears gloves, and his tactile capacities are therefore slightly reduced.

 The use of such trays in operating theaters in which gestures must be as easy and effective as possible has led the Applicant to improve the peelable tray in order to make its use more ergonomic.

 The object of the present invention relates more particularly to a peelable tray of the type constituted by a rigid structure supporting a plurality of superimposed sheets. The sheet present on the top of the stack is detachable by mechanical traction, each sheet having at least one peripheral gripping tab. The peripheral tongue of each of the sheets is offset from the tongues of the preceding and following sheets, the tongues being outside the working surface of said sheets. Because of this offset and the position outside the work surface makes it easier to grip the tongue and detach the soiled surface sheet.

 Advantageously, the sheets are produced e: a non-woven material. Such materials have good mechanical properties and are compatible with conventional sterilization methods.

According to a particular embodiment, said sheets are reinforced by a tear-resistant frame. This frame allows sheets to be made from a fragile material, without the risk of tearing # when pulling on the tongue
Preferably, each of the sheets is impregnated with a sterility indicator. Such indicators are known in the state of the art for monitoring instrumentation boxes. According to this embodiment, the user of the peelable tray can determine at any time by simple visual observation if the work surface has satisfactory sterility qualities, or if on the contrary it is necessary to remove the surface sheet.

 According to another variant, each of the sheets is impregnated with an antiseptic product. This embodiment makes it possible to maintain an acceptable degree of sterility for the duration of an intervention, or when the tray remains unused for a certain time.

 Preferably, said detachable sheets are made of an impermeable material. This embodiment avoids the staining of the lower sheets by capillary transmission of liquids present on the surface sheet.

 According to a particular embodiment, the tongues are offset angularly, the angular offset between the radial axis passing through the tongue of a detachable sheet and the radial axis passing through the tongue of the preceding sheet being substantially constant.

Figure 1 shows a view of an exemplary embodiment of a tray according to the present invention. The detachable sheets (1) are of circular shape seen from the front. Each sheet has a tab on its edge
(2 to 4) extending beyond the work surface. The tabs belonging to two consecutive sheets are angularly offset. The radial axis (5) passing through one of the tongues (2) forms a constant angle with the radial axis

 The rigid support (7) supports the stack of detachable sheets (1, 8 to 10). the temporary holding of the sheets is done either mechanically by an initial compression along a joining line (11), or by any other known technique, for example by using a non-sticky adhesive covering a part or the the entire surface of the leaves, except the tongue.

 The joining line is formed close to the edge of the sheets on the one hand to avoid the unexpected peeling of the tray, on the other hand to ensure satisfactory insulation of most of the surface of the lower sheets from the ambient environment.

 The sheets are available in metal, composite materials, or any other material usually used in the health field.

They can be colored differently so as to make visible any tears.

In particular, the shape of the sheets can vary within wide proportions, and it is in particular conceivable to produce a tray such that the surface sheet completely surrounds all of the lower sheets.

Claims (7)

SELL IC # TIONS 1 - Peelable medical tray of the type constituted by a rigid structure supporting a plurality of superimposed sheets, the sheet present on the top of the stack being detachable by mechanical traction, each sheet  (1, 8 to 10) having at least one peripheral gripping tab, characterized in that the peripheral tab of each of the sheets (1, 8 to 10) is offset relative to the tabs of the preceding and following sheets, the tabs being external to the working surface of said sheets. 2 - Peelable medical tray according to claim 1 characterized in that the sheets (1, 8 to 10) are made of a non-woven material. 3 - peelable medical tray according to any one of claims 1 or 2 characterized in that said sheets (1, 8 to 10) are reinforced by a tear-resistant frame. 4 - Peelable medical tray according to any one of claims 1 to 3 characterized in that each of the sheets (1, 8 to 10) is impregnated with a sterility indicator.  5 - Peelable medical tray according to any one of claims 1 to 4 characterized in that each of the sheets (1, 8 to 10) is impregnated with an antiseptic product. 6 - Peelable medical tray according to any one of claims 1 to 5 characterized in that said detachable sheets (1, 8 to 10) are made of an impermeable material. 7 - Peelable medical tray according to any one of claims 1 to 6 characterized in that the tongues are angularly offset, the angular offset between the radial axis (6) passing through the tongue of a detachable sheet (1, 8 to 10) and the radial axis (5) passing through the tongue of the preceding sheet being substantially constant.
