Abstract

The invention relates to a mould enabling a heart-shaped balloon to be manufactured. It consists of a foot (for example of 6 mm in width) and of a part of the body (1) progressively widening out until three times its initial width, that is 18 mm (2). At approximately 6/7 mm from the hollow of the heart, the mould is progressively reduced (3) until a rounded part of approximately 1 mm in width is obtained since the impact with the latex has to take place without a flat part. The technical characteristics of the mould according to the invention can be adapted to all moulds relating to balloons, exhibiting possible stretching over parts of the mould when inflating.

Description

The present invention relates to a heart shaped balloon mold (natural latex) designed so that it avoids waste during inflation.

Common molds are generally flat, practically over their entire surface (with a thickness of approximately 6 to 10 mm), which does not allow a good production of certain forms of balloons which would often burst on inflation and would therefore be difficult to market.

In fact, on a normal mold with an average thickness of 6 mm, when inflated, stretching on the hollow is equivalent to a load of 3 kg. The resistance is insufficient, hence significant waste.

The mold according to the invention overcomes this drawback by varying the thickness of the shapes (increase or shrinkage).

On a mold whose hollow is built on a thickness of 18 mm, the stretch equivalent to a load of 3 kg is distributed over 18 mm instead of 6, from where resistance practically tripled.

It is in fact designed, in the present example (appended drawing): on a 6 mm thick foot, with a progressive increase in the level of the body reaching three times its thickness, ie 18 mm, then with a progressive decrease, about 6/7 mm from the hollow of the "heart", until a rounding of 1 mm wide is obtained.

The dimensions of the mold are not imperative and can be based on another scale.

The invention resides in the fact that thanks to this form of mold, when inflated, the hollow of the heart-shaped balloon resists stretching of the material, practically does not burst and makes it possible to reduce waste considerably.

The starting point for enlarging or shrinking the thickness is not imperative; it must be done gradually and harmoniously so that, during soaking, the latex adheres to the mold smoothly.

The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention
Figure 1 shows the base of the mold and part of the body (1), progressive thickening of the mold (2) and narrowing towards the hollow (3).

Figure 2 shows the mold seen from above.

Figure 3 shows the mold seen in profile.

This thickness variation system can be adapted on all molds for the manufacture of balloons of various shapes and these thicknesses can vary according to the points to be "relieved".

Claims (4)

1 - Mold for the manufacture of balloons made of natural inflatable latex, in the shape of a heart, characterized in that it as a whole comprises variations in thickness - aimed at obtaining a hollow of the heart which is thicker than the initial thickness of the mold - to relieve stretching on a specific point of the model (in this case the hollow of the heart) to avoid significant waste during inflation. The dimensions of the thicknesses are not imperative; the essence of the invention is that the hollow of the heart is thicker than the initial thickness. 2 --Moule~selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un pied et une partie du corps, par exemple de 6 mm d'épaisseur (1). 2 - ~ mold according to claim 1 characterized in that it comprises a foot and a part of the body, for example 6 mm thick (1). 3 - Moule selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2 caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte, par exemple, un accroissement progressif de 3 fois son épaisseur initiale soit 18 mm (2). 3 - Mold according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that it comprises, for example, a gradual increase of 3 times its initial thickness is 18 mm (2). 4 - Moule selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte , à environ 6/7 mm du creux du coeur, une progressive réduction de l'épaisseur (3) jusqu'à l'obtention d " un arrondi de 1 min environ de large.  4 - Mold according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises, approximately 6/7 mm from the hollow of the heart, a gradual reduction in thickness (3) until a rounded shape is obtained. about 1 min wide.
