Abstract

Projection system making it possible to view an image on a large-format screen, by day and by night. The invention relates to various types of screens which make the images projected particularly attractive and surprising, for advertising or information purposes. The system comprises a projector fitted with a long focal length lens and with a screen consisting of translucent material. This screen can be flat or can have variants, pleated, corrugated, consisting of tubes or of beads. The thickness of the materials has to be sufficiently low so as to view the image from in front or behind the screen. The impressions given make the device particularly suitable for advertising use.

 The present invention relates to a device for projecting a slide image on a screen making it possible to view the image day and night and on each side of the screen.

 Traditionally, slide images are projected on a screen and in a dark room.

 Sometimes the projection is done on a frosted screen but for viewing in a reduced format and presented by a compact device.

 The projection montage makes projection possible in broad daylight and on a large format screen, it also allows uses of the image that come out of simple projection for viewing.

The assembly requires the following system:
- A slide projector with automatic focusing.

 - This projector must-8fre equipped with a long focal length lens 150mm to 210mm.

 This allows, for example, to obtain a 180mm focal length at a distance of 9 m. of the screen, a 2 m-by 2 m image.

 - The projection must be carried out on a flat screen, made of glass - plastic or any other translucent material.

 - The thickness of this screen must be as small as possible so that the image does not lose sharpness and the brightness is maximum.

 The image should be seen on either side of the screen and filling the entire screen.

- The screen must be suspended so that, thanks to the distance from the projector and with the vision of the image on the 2 sides of the screen, the illusion is rendered by an image floating in the air and appearing without concrete structure.

 - The always translucent screen can have many variations.

so that the image has different and surprising presentations.

- The screen may also consist of bands of translucent pearls, mounted on a nylon case.

 This may be a non-flat screen, but composed of standard folds, a drape of fabric or pleated fabric.

 Thus the image takes on a particular definition.

 - The screen can be suspended and move slightly in the wind. Thus the image by the successive focusing takes on an aspect of movement which stops the gaze.

 - The screen can be made of glass or translucent plastic strips. These vertical bands of different width have the particularity of varying the presentation of the image. Especially if because of the different weight which varies according to the width of the strip, the wind or any undulating movement modifies the verticality of the strips.

 - The screen can dexterate consisting of tubes attached to each other and also translucent.

 All these variants allow to vary the presentation of the image.

- In the system described, the projector is located in the axis of the screen, facing it and the image appears visible on both sides of the screen.
There is a montage where the projector is perpendicular to the projection being done on a mirror which returns the image to the screen.

 The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention.

The application of this image projection and reception device is particularly intended for viewing advertising images.

 The color projection, day and night with successive photos allowing to catch the eye and inform in a lively and varied form.

Claims (8)

 1) Device which makes it possible to receive on frosted screen images visible by day and by night and from each side of the screen.  These large images can have different and curious aspects depending on the different screen models.  2) Device characterized in that it consists of a receiving screen made of a translucent material with a flat surface or vertical strips of different widths, which can be movable relative to each other.  3) Device according to claim N01 characterized in that the vertical bands are strings of balls, Figure N04 and N04 Bis.  4) Screen according to claim N01 characterized by ripples of low amplitudes, Figure N 5.  5) Screen according to claim N01 characterized by folds, Figure N06.  6) Screen according to claim NOl characterized by vertical bands, Figure N07.  7) Screen according to claim N01 characterized by tubes, cylindrical bars, vertical, Figure N08.  8) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the projection is not made directly, but returned by mirror, Figure N 9.  Projection system for viewing an image day and night on a large screen.  SHORT  The invention relates to different types of screens which make the images projected for advertising or information purposes particularly attractive and surprising.  The system includes a projector with a long focal length lens and a screen made of translucent material.
