Abstract

It consists of one or more layers of closed-cell polyethylene foam used in combination with one or more layers of felt, so as to form a composite material which is in the form of panels or sheets. The material according to the invention is intended to improve acoustic comfort in buildings. It is particularly indicated for the construction of floating floors.

Description

The present invention relates to an elasto-fibrous material for absorbing noise, or attenuating the propagation of noise, in buildings.

An element of acoustic comfort between superimposed or juxtaposed premises consists in the attenuation of the transmission of sound vibrations by the structures of the building.

The interposition of a resilient or absorbent material on a wall or between a wall and its structures reduces reflection, penetration or propagation of noise. By way of nonlimiting example, this technique is used in particular when making floating floors.

Various materials exist, more or less efficient, compressible, waterproof and practical to use.

The product according to the invention is essentially distinguished therefrom by its structure, the nature of the components, their methods of assembly, and its ease of use.

The product according to the invention is a composite material, the constituents of which have additional insulation, absorption, compressibility and sealing qualities.

The product according to the invention consists of one or more layers of closed cell polyethylene foam, associated with one or more layers of felt.

The felt layer (s) are made of mineral, or synthetic, or vegetable, or organic fibers.

The successive layers are joined. This joining is punctual, or linear, or of the entire surface.

The joining is carried out by sewing, or by bonding using an adhesive or an adhesive, or by welding resulting from the heating of the surfaces to be welded or one of them.

The thickness of each layer is variable depending on the expected result.

The presentation of the product may take the form of panels, or folded or rolled tablecloths.

The product according to the invention does not require any additional sealing during its implementation, this function being provided by polyethylene foam.

The use of the product according to the invention will be that reserved for insulating or absorbent materials, acoustic or acoustic, in buildings.
