Abstract

The invention relates to devices for breaking up and shredding various products of the sort using a rotary disc driven by a gear motor, provided with cutters associated with openings in the disc capable of allowing the broken-up product to pass. According to the invention, the disc (1) is associated with a pushing assembly (3) which includes a means (8) capable of moving linearly towards the disc in a controlled manner a pushing arm (9) entraining the product to be broken up (7). Furthermore, the pusher assembly also includes a means (6) capable of raising it up, by rotation about a spindle (4) secured to the chassis (5) of the device, so as to clear the front loading zone of the disc.
