Abstract

A disposable dosing-dispenser for vaginal creams or other medicated fluids, provided with a cannula-shaped element 4 which can both contain the exact amount of medicated product for internal application, and can be introduced into the vagina to allow a such application, and of an elastic element in the form of a pump 1 capable of containing air while serving as a propellant.

Description

Disposable dispenser for vaginal creams.

  The present invention relates to a disposable dispenser for vaginal cream comprising a cannula-shaped part which can contain the exact amount of cream or any other medicated fluid for internal use, and which can be introduced into the vagina in order to allow application. correct and precise of said medicinal substances; the disposable dispenser for vaginal cream also includes a small elastic element

  pump for dispensing such medicinal substances.

  Various devices are already known for dispensing medicinal products in internal regions; they generally include elastic means which also act as a reservoir for the medicinal product to be applied, but insofar as the role of the dispenser cannot be separated from that of the reservoir, it is necessary to have a quantity much more product than is useful, in order to compensate for the amount of product remaining in the dispenser tank, or else it is necessary to

  make several successive presses on said reservoir-

  dispenser in order to completely evacuate the product, which however entails the risk of causing both, due to these repeated movements, irritations on the internal walls which come into contact

  with the cannula, and improper or inaccurate application of the product.

  Other devices are known which allow the internal application of creams or other medicated fluids; these are syringe-like devices which, even if they allow the entire drug preparation to be applied, oblige the user to adopt uncomfortable and unnatural positions, which often results in improper use or incomplete

of said devices.

  Finally, the present applicant has invented a device which, even if it allows the evacuation of all the vaginal cream as well as a practical and comfortable use, requires successive changes of the cannula-reservoir in order to be able to be used from successively, which compromises the hygienic qualities that such a device must

necessarily have.

  The present invention provides, in order to solve the problems set out above, a disposable dispenser-dispenser with which it is possible to correctly apply the medicinal product in an extremely simple and comfortable manner while respecting the strictest hygiene requirements. We will better understand how a

  such device thanks to the detailed description which follows, provided to

  simple example, and referring to the accompanying drawings, in which: i 5 - Figure 1 is an overall view of the device - Figure 2 is an exploded view, with sectional views, of the various components of the device; - Figures 3 and 3 'are sectional views of the device once assembled, respectively in the open position and in the closed position - Figure 4 is a top view of the plug;

  A disposable dispenser for vaginal creams according to the present invention substantially comprises: - a hollow elastic element in the form of a pump 1; - an interlocking element 3; - a plug-shaped element 5 - a cannula 4; - a piston-shaped element 6

- a cap 18.

  The elastic element - in the form of a pump 1 contains the air which plays the role of propellant when the device is in the open position, in order to distribute the cream or any other fluid contained in the cannula 4, by actuating the piston 6; said pump is attached to the rest of the device by means of a neck provided with an edge 2 on which the interlocking element 3 is fixed by pressure. The nesting element 3 is approximately a solid element of revolution generated by causing a "U" to rotate about a vertical axis eccentric with respect to the "U"; as can be seen in Figure 3, the nesting element 3 is characterized by an annular rib 20 which can snap onto an annular edge 2 of the

  pump 1, and a profile 15 of which we will detail the function below.

  The plug 5 consists substantially of a body and a base.

  The base is formed by two superimposed rings, one being solid 19 and the other being characterized by hollows 8 and shoulders 9. The body has the shape of a hollow cylinder on the external surface of which grooves extend it which are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body; the grooves start about halfway through the cylinder and extend to the end opposite the base. Said grooves 11

  form the bumps 12 which are bevelled at their part 13.

  The cannula 4 has the shape of a hollow cylinder, and it is characterized in that it has a profile 14 and a profile 16; the profile 14 makes it possible both to facilitate the insertion of the cannula 4 into the interlocking element 3 thanks to the elastic deformation of the parts, and thus to prevent accidental separation by engaging the profile

of element 3.

  Profile 16 makes it possible to stop the insertion of the cannula 4 into

  the element 3 coming to abut against the profile 15 of the same element.

  It should be noted that the simple movement of the cannula 4 relative to the integral system 3-plug interlocking element 5 makes it possible to pass from the hermetically closed position to the open position to allow the passage of the air contained in the pump 1 , the passage

  being indicated by the dotted arrow in Figure 3 '.

  This is possible insofar as, when the device is closed (FIG. 3), the internal surface of the cannula 4 is strictly in contact with the external surface of the body of the stopper 5, near the base 19 of the latter, and therefore with a place where this surface is

  free of grooves 11, in order to prevent the passage of air.

  On the other hand, when the cannula 4 is withdrawn relative to the rest of the device, in order to engage the profile 14 of the cannula 4 on the profile 15 of the fitting element 3, then the internal surface 21 of the cannula 4 is in contact with the external surface of the plug 5 but only at the place where it is provided with grooves 11 (Figure 3 '). In this position, when the air passes through the hollows 8 of the base of the stopper 5, and then the grooves 11 of the body of the said stopper, it can push on the piston 6 and therefore on the cream located in the region of the

  cannula 4 indicated by Reference 7.

  The cylinder 6 is provided with an elastic lip 17 making it possible to ensure a hermetic closure against the internal parts 21 of the cannula 4 so as to hermetically separate the part 7 o. is placed there

  cream or any other medicated fluid from the rest of the device.

  The device is also provided with a cap 18 with a movable centering element 22, and is provided with a plug 23 which snaps securely onto the cannula 4 in order to prevent any evacuation

  accidental cream located in part 7 of said cannula 4.

  The user must therefore - Apply pressure on the walls 24 of the cap 18 while pulling the cannula 4 until the device is in the open position - Remove the cap 18 from the cannula 4; - Introduce the device into the vagina then press on the pump so that the air which is contained inside said pump

  pushes the piston 6 passing through the device in the "open" position, which results in the cream or any other product coming out

medicated fluid.

  Such a device therefore makes it possible to correctly apply the right dose of medication, in a natural, comfortable and safe manner for the user, while respecting sanitary and hygienic rules insofar as it is not necessary that the user proceeds

  prior to any manipulation of the cream and the device.

  It is obvious that the dimensions, as well as the materials used

  will depend on the different requirements related to use.

  1. A disposable dispenser for vaginal creams fitted with a cannula-shaped element (4), which can contain both the exact dose of drug product for internal application, and which can be introduced into the vagina to allow such an application, and an elastic pump-shaped element (1) making it possible to   contain air serving as a propellant.   2. A disposable dispenser-dispenser for vaginal creams according to reyendication 1 in which said cannula-shaped element (4) slides over the rest of the device, so as to allow or prevent the passage of Pl'air from the pump ( 1) to a plunger (6) allowing the cream or any other to come out of the cannula medicated fluid.   3. A disposable dispenser-dispenser according to one of claims 1 and 2,   which has a plug-shaped element (5), along which there are recesses (8) and grooves (11) allowing or preventing the   air passage depending on the position of the cannula (4).   4. A disposable dispenser according to one of the claims   previous in which the cannula (4) has inside of it a piston (6), which under the pressure of the air pumped by the elastic element in the form of a pump (1), pushes the cream out of the cannula (4), for the application of said medicinal product, said piston (6) being provided with an elastic lip (17) making it possible to provide a hermetic seal against the internal walls of the cannula (4), in order to prevent an evacuation of the cream or the medicated fluid to inside the device.   A disposable dispenser for vaginal cream according to one of the   claims 1 to 4, comprising an interlocking element, having   substantially the shape of a solid element of revolution generated by rotating a "U" about a vertical axis eccentric with respect to the "U" itself, and comprising an annular rib (20) which can be engaged on a respective annular edge (2) of the neck of the pump (1), and a profile (15) which, in addition to the fact that it allows the cannula (4) to be inserted into the fitting element (3) thanks to an elastic deformation of the parts, prevents at the same time that the cannula (4) does not separate accidentally from said element socket (3).
