Description

Protective coating for exterior insulation panel for buildings
The present invention relates to a protective coating for an external insulation panel for buildings, comprising hydraulic binders, lightening fillers, additives and constituting a solid part to be mixed with water.

This coating corresponds to the current need to isolate new or renovated housing as much as possible to limit heat loss and, consequently, energy consumption.

In the coatings of the prior art, cracking appears over time and these coatings are still relatively heavy because their specific mass is close to 1.8 Kg / dm3.

In the coating obtained by the manufacturing process described in patent application FR 82 18004 of October 27, 4982 of the applicant, the specific gravity was lowered to around 1 Kg / dm3 and the tendency to cracking was considerably reduced .

The object of the present invention is to provide a coating whose specific mass is always around 1 Kg / dm 3, but whose cracking is almost nonexistent
Another advantage of this coating lies in the fact that it adheres to all the cellular insulators used in construction, such as for example polystyrene or polyurethane.

The present invention is characterized in that out of a hundred parts by weight, the hydraulic binders consist of approximately 17 parts of white cement, 3 to 7 parts of air lime, 50 parts of sand with a particle size close to 0.1 mm, 15 parts of sand with a gravity close to 1 mm, the lightening charges consist of 5 to 10 parts of expanded mica, and the adjuvants consist of 0.1 to 0.3 part of cellulose ether, 0.1 part of vinyl acetate ethylene, 0.1 to 0.3 part of calcium stearate, 0.01 to 0.03 part of olefin sulfonate
Advantageously, this coating is washable with water representing by weight about 33 additional parts and at the time of mixing, about 3.3 parts of latex are added to it.

There is described below, by way of example, a protective coating according to the invention, composed by weight of 100 elementary parts.

The protective coating includes in its formulation three types of products constituting a solid coating.

The first type of product, that is to say hydraulic binders, forms the basis of the coating matrix.

These hydraulic binders are made up of approximately - 17 parts of white cement which can possibly be colored for a better presentation.

- 3 to 7 parts of air or slaked lime which allows a certain lightening and a permeability favoring the circulation of air - 50 parts of dried sand of fine granulometry (approximately 0.1 mm) also favoring the permeability to the air - 15 parts of dried sand of medium grain size (about 1 mm)
The second type of product, that is to say the lightening charges, represents approximately 5 to 10 parts by weight, but 30 to 50 parts by volume out of 100 parts also.

These lightening charges are generally "vermiculite", that is to say beads of expanded mica with a diameter of about 1 mm
The third type of product, that is to say adjuvants2 facilitates the implementation of the coating.

These adjuvants consist of approximately - 0.1 to 0.3 - part of cellulosic ether, "Tylase P 6000 Z2'l from
Company "HOECHST", which creates a modification of the rheological properties and plays the role of a water retentant thus causing a thickening of the coating - 0.1 part of ethylene vinyl acetate, emulsion resin R530Z of the
Company "11ACKER-CHEMIE", which is a dispersible powder facilitating mixing and plasticizing the whole - 0.1 to 0.3 part of calcium stearate which plays the role of a water repellent and a release agent - 0 , 01 to 0.03 part of olefin sulfonate "Ostapur" from the company "HOECHST", which plays the role of an air entrainer, which also facilitates soft slipping and gliding on the tools used to place this coated.

To apply this solid coating thus obtained. on an insulation panel, it must be mixed with water by adding 33 parts of this water to form a mortar. During mixing, 3.3 parts of "latex", butadiene-styrene from the company "DOW CHEMICAL", are added.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, it is of course possible to replace certain products with equivalent products.
