Abstract

The tensioning system secures supple sheets (11,12) placed on arched ribs (4,5) of e.g. a multi-arch greenhouse roof. Tensioning comprises a trapezoidal section placed between arches and acting as a rainwater gutter (6, 7, 8). Hooks (9,10) on the gutter walls secure the bottom edges of the sheets and threaded rods (13,14) with lock nuts (15,16) retain the gutter to each arm (2,3) of the column head. The adjustable tensioning device may be used between fixed tensioning devices placed on the extreme outer perimeter of the arched ribs. The tensioning device provides a uniform lead distribution on the supple sheets.
