Abstract

The panel (3) is fitted to domestic appliances (1), such as washing machines and dishwashers, and is intended to be formed and positioned to match other fittings in, say, a domestic kitchen. The control panel (3) is formed from an assembly of units which, when assembled, form a rigid unit, but which are readily alterable to suit different requirements for the dimensions of, or placing of controls on the panel. The panel (9) is formed from rigid strips (10) which run across the appliance, with the strips connected along their edges by a thin membrane (11) which is readily cut to allow the panel to be formed. The strips may be of flat or 'C' section.
