Abstract

The electric stepping motor includes a cylindrical casing (17) in which the electromagnetic parts of the motor are housed. The shaft of the rotor passes through the box, parallel to the cylinder axis, and extends through the base of the casing. Reduction gears are mounted in a second casing, so as to be in contact with the projecting pinion of the motor. Clips (28,29) on the sides of the motor casing hold the motor and reducing gear together. The cover which forms the top of the motor casing has, on its inside surface, the electronic components forming the control circuit for the stepping motor. Tabs on the cover ensure its alignment and attachment to the motor casing.
