Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing fishing with a floating line further off from the bank than with a traditional float. It is constituted by a cone-shaped floating body 2 pierced at its centre 1 for the passage of the end of the line, longitudinally grooved in order to receive a four-sided plate 5. The latter is bent at its rear part 3, pierced at the four corners 4 of its flat part for fixing four lines 7 of defined length, joined together at their ends to a swivel for attaching the line 9. When the fisherman stops the descent of the float in the current by locking the line on the reel, the float, by means of its four-sided plate and under the action of the forces acting on the latter, runs up in the current, following the principle of the kite, in order to come to a halt, forces in balance, downstream from a line perpendicular to the axis of the current. Fishing can be either with float stopped, forces in balance or by successive release and holding of the line.

The present invention relates to a float for fishing in a
stream.

The whole of this invention consists of a material support

This practice - flowing, maintaining the line, winding allows the fisherman to practice floating line fishing at the distance from the shore he wishes, placing the float in position at a desired point "stopped fishing" by release and successive maintenance of the wire called "sawtooth", only so as not to disturb fishermen placed downstream.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for fishing in a stream of water.

Claims (3)

 1. Device for fishing with a floating line in a stream of water, long distance from the shore, characterized in that it consists of a floating body (Fig. 2 and 3) serving as a support for a plate ( Fig. 4) fixed tight in a longitudinal groove (2), drilled in the middle (1) lengthwise for the passage of the leader.  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized as regards the plate of quadrilateral shape (fig. 4) bent in its rear part (3), pierced at the four corners of its flat part, for fixing four wires of determined length , for the attachment to the fishing line.  3. Device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized with regard to the length of the four son (7) joined at their top to a swivel or a ring, determined to allow the quadrilateral plate, with the help of the bent part to the rear, to form during the restraints, an angle relative to the axis of the current, causing its rise in the current, according to the principle of the kite.
