Abstract

Extractor for the inside of toilets, that is to say extracting the smells from the inside of the bowl when they appear and thus preventing their dispersion. To deodorise them by a filter adjoining the extractor or to discharge these gases to the outside through the ventilation shafts. To this end, flat and flexible (or otherwise) pipes, fastened or adhesively bonded to the bowl, will take this polluted air as it appears under the seat exactly between the seat and the bowl, will run along this bowl to take them to the extractor. The flap-like seat currently used is hollow; it will therefore allow the passage of extraction orifices. This contactor will close the circuit when pressure is exerted on the seat and will open it when the pressure is released. A small spring will keep the seat slightly raised so that, when a patient sits down, the extractor will be switched on and, when he stands up, the extractor will be switched off. This device is intended for removing completely the foul smells from toilets and for making this room as pleasant as the rest of the flat. It is intended above all for doing away with the feeling of repulsion felt when opening the door of the toilets.

All modern kitchens have a suction hotta to filter or extract odors from cooking.
