Abstract

The invention relates to a device employing two consecutive processes: settling and electrolysis. The device according to the invention consists of two casings 1 and 2; it comprises a delivery tube for the liquid 3. The heavy solid elements present in the liquid settle in the casing 2. The device comprises a shot 6 made of a zinc and tin alloy supplied with a direct electrical current via the negative pole 13; the positive pole 10 is connected to a graphite electrode 9. The metal particles and the metal salts in suspension attach themselves to the shot 6. The effluent is discharged via the orifice 8. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for recovery of the metals present in a liquid and capable of toxicity after chemical transformation, such as: mercury, silver, copper, zinc, tin.

Lors de la mise en place de l'amalgame dentaire dans la bouche du patient, une partie-de l'amalgame est rejetée dans les effluents par l'intermédiaire du crachoir ou de l'aspiration chirurgicale. Le dispositif selon l'invention permet la récupération des métaux constituant l'amalgame dentaire et contenus dans les eaux de rejet. Des dispositifs de récupération de ces métaux existent; ils utilisent traditionnellement des procédés de décantation, de filtration, ou de centrifugation. Par électrolyse du liquide, les particules métalliaues en suspension et les sels métallîcues dissous ou en suspension, se fixent sur la grenaille (6).
