Abstract

The invention relates to a containing and protection corridor for the self-service feeding of animals, especially for cattle, characterised in that it comprises: two metal barriers 1 and 2 which are parallel, defining a corridor between them; two runners 6 forming slides which support the barriers and allow the assembly to be moved forward towards the food supply; a first gate 13 carried movably on the barriers at the entrance to the corridor between a position allowing an animal to enter between the barriers and a closed position; means 14 forcing the gate 13 towards the open position and, a second gate 12 supported movably, between the barriers inside the corridor, and connected to the first gate 13 by means of a link rod 14 to cause the first gate 13 to move into the closed position when an animal moves the second gate 12: the means forcing the gate 13 into the open position are formed by a spring, and the corridor is shut off opposite the first gate 13 by a crib. Application to the self-service feeding opposite a silo corridor with protection for each animal, for feeding at will.

DESCRIPTION
Restraint and protection corridor for cattle self-service.

 The invention relates to a set of protective corridors for each cattle for voluntary feeding in front of a corridor silo, according to the so-called self-service formula.

 In this formula of food, until now the cattle presented themselves according to their need for food and took according to their nature a prominent place; the disadvantage of the system was that one or two animals could interfere with feeding the whole herd.

 The invention presented allows isolation and protection of each animal, which can therefore access the silo properly and without risk, feed to satiety and, once full, give way to another animal which, in turn, benefits from the same advantages.

 The device can be adjusted as needed for a daily, rational diet avoiding any waste.

 The present invention consists of a metallic tubular assembly forming one or more individual lanes for cattle, juxtaposed each lane is composed of lateral flanks which isolate each animal from its neighbors providing it with lateral protection and allowing it independent access to the silo. Each animal controls on its own the opening and closing of its protection as well as its exit from the device, leaving room for the animal without wasting food.

Preferably, the means urging the gate towards the open position are formed by a spring.

Advantageously, the corridor is closed opposite the first gate by a crèche.

The corridor includes two metal barriers 1, 2 formed of tubes (as shown in

 When an animal pushes the second door 12, as shown in broken lines in FIG. 2, the pivoting of this induced movement of the rod 14 and makes the first door 13 pivot in the closed position as shown in broken lines in FIG. 2 or in Figure 3.
