Abstract

The trimmer comprises a main frame, supported by a tractor straddling rows of vines. This frame has two facing columns (2, 3) with opposite tracks (4) guiding the side rollers (8) of a cutter subframe (6, 7, 10). This is adjusted for height by a hydraulic cylinder (13). The cylinder rod (12) is attached to a pivot (11) on the subframe and common to a plate (15) with diametrical guides (16) engaging the main column tracks. A smaller hydraulic cylinder (20) is attached between the subframe and plate to tilt the subframe and compensate for the slope of the ground.
