Abstract

1. Apparatus for transporting casting ladles to a continuous-casting installation and consisting of a hoist for removing the ladles, emanating from the steel mill, from a transportation means and lifting them to the level of the casting position, as well as of a revolving turret, which is arranged at the level of the casting platform and which receives the ladles, lifted in a ladle-change station, and moves them to the casting station, characterized in that the hoist (4, 41, 43) for the casting ladles (2, 2') is provided directly on the revolving turret and can be pivoted therewith from a position covering the ladle-change station into the position aligned with the casting station.
