Abstract

The grape transport and leaf removal mechanism is mounted in a harvesting machine (10) with front and rear wheels on each side straddling the row of vines along which it travels. It comprises a horizontal bottom conveyor (41) below the branches and running along one side of the machine, delivering to a bucket elevator at its rear end and situated in the same vertical plane. The intake (46) of a suction fan (45) is situated close to the rear end of the bottom conveyor, the fan discharge (47) being aimed sideways in relation to the latter.
