IT INCLUDES: A) AN INTERNAL ENCLOSURE 11 TRANSMITTING LIGHT, IN WHICH A VACUUM CAN BE CREATED, PRESENTING OPPOSITE ENDS AND PLACED INSIDE AN EXTERNAL BULB 10; B) SEVERAL ELECTRODES 12, 13 THROUGH THE ENDS OF THE ENVELOPE, AT LEAST TWO OF THE ELECTRODES BEING PLACED AT THE OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE ENVELOPE; C) AN IONISABLE VAPOR 15 CONTAINED IN THE ENVELOPE 11; D) MEANS 14 FOR INITIATING AND MAINTAINING AN ARC DISCHARGE THROUGH THE STEAM BETWEEN THE ELECTRODES PLACED AT THE OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE ENVELOPE; AND E) MEANS TO CREATE A UNIFORM MAGNETIC FIELD VERTICALLY PERPENDICULAR TO THE ARC DISCHARGE AND ORIENTED SO AS TO EXERCISE A DOWNWARDED FORCE ON THE ARC DISCHARGE IN AT LEAST ONE LOCATION OF THIS ARC. APPLICATION TO PUBLIC LIGHTING.
