Abstract

The hair-cutting aid is fitted onto two fingers, such as the index and second finger, up to at least the second phalanx, to measure between them the amount of hair to be cut over an area of the hand. It is a tapering sheath (1) of truncated -cone shape, and made of rigid sheet, such as aluminium. The side ends of the sheath overlap. The outside of the sheath is covered in a bonded baize casing (R). The sheath is straight, or slightly convex to match the shape of the head.
