Abstract
The solar energy sensor has a fixed heating system whereby a transparent sphere refracts the incident radiation to concentrate it into a beam. The beam energy is absorbed by a fluid contained in tubes mounted to follow the sun's path during the days and seasons. A sphere (1) of transparent plastic material is filled with a refractive liquid so that solar radiation (10) is refracted onto a heat exchanger (2). The heat exchanger comprises a lower (20) and upper (22) collector tubes between which one perpendicular tubes (22). The sphere is mounted on a support while the heat exchanger is mounted to turn about the vertical axis and is inclined so that the collector tubes are in the radiation path during the day. This heats a heat conducting fluid which enters the exchange in the centre (23) to flow to outlets (24) at its ends.
