Abstract

Procédé d'épuration de solutions contenant du carbonate de potassium, du sulfate de potassium, de l'hydroxyde de potassium ou de l'hydrogénocarbonate de potassium, ainsi que principalement, l'un au moins des métaux appartenant au groupe constitué par l'uranium et le molybdène sous la forme de sels de potassium, et des impuretés minérales et/ou organiques, selon lequel on caustifie complètement ou partiellement les solutions précitées par addition d'une quantité adéquate de chaux, on sépare le premier précipité contenant essentiellement CaCO3 et concentre la liqueur séparée par évaporation jusqu'à l'obtention d'une teneur en KOH au plus égale à 50 %, pour provoquer l'obtention d'un deuxième précipité essentiellement constitué par K2 SO4 , puis après séparation de celui-ci, on recueille une liqueur riche en KOH.
