Abstract

The glass jar which may be square, with its four sides incorporating concave faces has a circular inset base in the form of a plinth, designed so that it can be stacked on a special closure (2) fitted on the jar below. The closure has an external face which curves inwards towards the top, and has a small flange (18) which fits inside the recess in the jar bottom above. Inside the closure is fitted a sealing ring (21) of a suitable type for locking against the flange on the open top of the jar itself. A label can be positioned in a central depression (19) in the top of the closure.
