Abstract

The feeder comprises two parallel belts or chains (6) fitted with supports (5) at intervals. Over the feeder is located a pile of wooden box sides, stacked vertically between guides (1), the bottom wooden side being supported in a pin (2) each end. A suction head (3, 4) vertically reciprocates between the feeder in a plane immediately below the vertical stack. The head contacts the bottom wooden panel side and pulls it downwards from the centre until it is grasped by the feeder supports and pulled out of the pile for conveyance towards a multiple stapling head.
