Abstract

Fabrication de tubes en acier allié soudable pour conduites sous-marines d'hydrocarbures ayant une ductilité élevée aux basses températures. On coule un acier allié à bas carbone, moins de 0,08 % et à silicium au plus égal à 0,30 %, contenant également du manganèse et un métal générateur de carbures spéciaux comme le molybdène, le niobium, le vanadium, etc., dans un moule de centrifugation, et après centrifugation on fait subir au tube centrifugé un refroidissement contrôlé et un traitement thermique. Applications aux tubes de forage, aux tubes pour conduites sous-marines et aux tubes pour constructions de plates-formes de forage en mer dans les régions froides telles que les régions arctiques, et toutes applications nécessitant une ductilité élevée à basse température.
