Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de déphosphoration d'un bain d'acier en phase réductrice. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à introduire dans le bain d'un produit solide pulvérulent constitué par un alcalino-terreux, de préférence du calcium pur, ou allié, ou mélangé à l'un de ses halogénures et à créer, en contact avec la surface du bain, un milieu qui ne soit pas susceptible de réagir avec les phosphures de calcium formés dans le bain, par exemple une atmosphère inerte ou un laitier basique pas ou peu oxydant à l'égard du calcium. Le procédé s'applique de préférence à un bain d'acier préalablement désoxydé. Il permet une élimination sélective du phosphore sans affecter les éléments d'alliage ou d'addition que l'on souhaite voir demeurer dans le bain.The invention relates to a process for dephosphorizing a steel bath in a reducing phase. The method according to the invention consists in introducing into the bath a pulverulent solid product consisting of an alkaline earth metal, preferably pure calcium, or an alloy, or mixed with one of its halides and creating, in contact with the surface of the bath, a medium which is not capable of reacting with the calcium phosphides formed in the bath, for example an inert atmosphere or a basic slag with no or little oxidizing with regard to calcium. The process is preferably applied to a bath of previously deoxidized steel. It allows a selective removal of phosphorus without affecting the alloying or addition elements that one wishes to see remain in the bath.
