Abstract

The record cover is made from a sheet of PVC which is folded and welded around three edges to the exact size of the record. The cover is made from rigid or semi-rigid material, and may be overprinted or embossed before folding and welding. The edges may also be sealed by means of an adhesive or ultrasonic welding. On a 33 rpm record the weld length is 315mm and 0.3 to 5.0 mm wide, and on the 45 rpm record the dimensions are 186 mm long and 0.2 to 0.3 mm wide.
