Abstract

The composite base for cakes is made from a number of sheets stored on rolls, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The sheets of material pass over individual rollers which pass over glueing rollers. The glued sheets then pass between rollers which presses them together. The continuous sheet is parted by the cutter. The base is made up of a thick lower sheet with a decorative sheet of lace paper to cover a sheet of gold foil. A plastic base may be placed under the cardboard.
