Elle comprend un bâti fixe, une première bobine d'alimentation du câble à recouvrir, une seconde bobine d'enroulement du câble recouvert, une première plate-forme supportant une première pluralité de fuseaux de fil montés fous, une seconde plate-forme coaxiale à ladite première plate-forme, supportant une seconde pluralité de fuseaux montés fous, des moyens moteurs et de guidage disposés opératoirement entre lesdites première et seconde bobines, destinés à dérouler le câble à recouvrir de ladite première bobine et à guider ledit câble recouvert sur ladite seconde bobine, des moyens d'alimentation du fil dotés d'un mouvement alternatif oscillant en synchronisation avec le mouvement de rotation des premiers et des seconds fuseaux de la première et de la seconde plateforme, lesdits moyens d'alimentation du fil étant aptes à alimenter ledit fil desdits fuseaux inférieurs d'une façon qui permet d'éviter le fil des fuseaux supérieurs, de manière à former ladite tresse.
