Abstract

The container is used for transporting live birds and comprises two large flat sides which are perforated for ventilation. Horizontal slots locate the tongues of flat boards providing tops and bottoms of several tiers of compartments. These tiers are further divided by vertical partitions, perforated for ventilation their upper and lower edges fitting into locating slots in the flat boards. The complete container is held together by screwed rods passing horizontally through the sides and partitions. The rods pass centrally across the front and back of each compartment to form barriers.
