Abstract

The orthopaedic apparatus for treatment of the spinal column, includes a rigid abdominal belt portion (3) resting on one or more of the trochanters and a higher back portion (7). The two forward ends (4) of the belt portion leave an opening between (5) at the middle. A rigid belly plate of inverted trapezium section with rounded corners is secured by its narrow lower end under belt ends, while its upper part incorporates an arch towards the stomach and ends at the level of the appendix xyphoidus. Two rigid side dish sections (15, 16) cut away at top and bottom, have bent-over supporting portions (15'16') at the bottom, while their front parts (17, 18) are of the same height, which is less than that of the belly plate. They are fixed to the central or upper portion of the belly plate, while their appreciably higher rear parts (19, 20) are secured to the higher back (7) of the belt.
