Abstract

The pavement sweeper has motor driven brushes and is manually controlled, the brushes acting together to direct litter etc. into a detachable bag. Two brushes are incorporated, one (2) rotating about a vertical axis in a leading offset position, the other rotating about a horizontal axis behind the bag (5), the pair being mounted with a motor (4) on a three wheeled (7, 8) chassis. The first brush may locate on the front right hand side and may rotate anti-clockwise, thus sweeping debris towards the sec. brush (3) which rotates in a clockwise sense. The bag is mounted in a housing with an inlet window facing the second brush. The rear pair of wheels (8) may be adjusted telescopically for height.
