LE RETRAITEMENT DES CORDONS ETOU FILAMENTS DE VERRE RESIDUAIRES DIMINUE SUBSTANTIELLEMENT LE PRIX DES MATIERES PREMIERES NECESSAIRES POUR UNE OPERATION DE FORMAGE DES FIBRES DE VERRE.THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR TREATING CORDS AND OR RESIDUAL GLASS FILAMENTS WHICH ARE PRODUCED DURING A GLASS FIBER FORMING OPERATION, FOR A LATER RE-USE AS A DISCONTINUOUS LOADING INGREDIENTS FOR A GLASS FIBER FORMING PROCESS. THIS PROCESS CONSISTS OF A THERMAL TREATMENT AT A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE OF THE CORDS ANDOR RESIDUAL GLASS FILAMENTS TO PRODUCE A PARTICULAR GLASS WHICH CAN BE RECYCLED IN A FIBERGLASS FORMING OVEN. THE PROCESSING OF RESIDUAL GLASS CORDS AND FILAMENTS SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCES THE PRICE OF THE RAW MATERIALS NECESSARY FOR A GLASS FIBER FORMING OPERATION.
