Abstract

The distributor for powdered fertiliser has a distributor tube (1) housing a conveying worm (3) and scraper blades (9) inside the end. The worm discharges through holes (2) at the bottom of the tube, and at the other end has a pressure operated control system to increase the discharge as pressure rises inside the tube. Alongside the feed hopper (6) at that end is a hydraulic motor (13) driven by a pump (16) in turn driven by the power (18). The supply line (15) to the motor has a branch line (19) connected to a piston (20) which slides a blade (10) over the discharge holes. The blade has discharge holes (11) and moves so that they permit maximum discharge when moved the maximum amount in one direction when pressure is highest.
