Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'illumination pour un instrument optique. Le dispositif d'illumination comprend une lampe à incandescence et un tube flash dans un support pivotable adapté pour sélectivement et alternativement positionner ladite lampe et ledit tube dans une position de service unique identique, la lampe et le tube flash étant alimenté électriquement seulement dans la position de service. La lampe à incandescence fournit une lumière continue d'une intensité relativement faible pour l'illumination d'objets à examiner et le tube flash fournit une impulsion de lumiere de courte durée et d'intensité élevée pour l'illumination à des fins d'enregistrement photographiques. L'invention est particulièrement utile dans un dispositif d'examen optique de l'oeil.
