Abstract

L'invention concerne une méthode pour séparer et enrichir des molécules contenant du deutérium. Selon l'invention, on prévoit une source 10 de molécules organiques contenant des atomes de deutérium, ces molécules organiques étant choisies parmi l'éthylène, le chlorure de vinyle, le dichoroéthane et le propylène ; on expose les molécules organiques au rayonnement d'au moins une source d'un laser à infrarouge A, particulièrement accordé et focalisé pour décomposer sélectivement les molécules organiques contenant du deutérium afin de former une espèce moléculaire enrichie contenant du deutérium; et on sépare en B l'espèce moléculaire enrichie en deutérium des molécules non décomposées et épuisées en deutérium. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'industrie nucléaire.
