Abstract

The measuring device is for the diameter of bone joints, having a sliding ruler of strong rigid material. This supports a protruding bar of non-round section, on which is mounted one half of a clamp. A tube, likewise of non-round section, has the other clamp half mounted on it, and a graduated scale works with one or the other half. The protruding bar can be arranged to slide in the non-round tube, and the two clamp halves can be jaws at least 6 cm. long and at right angles to bar and tube. Both bar and tube can be of square section, rounded at the corners.
