Abstract

Several cable connectors are simultaneously inserted into chambers of a housing. The cable connector units are held pref. in an automatic crimping machine (7) with transport tongs. During the assembly they are held close behind the crimping zone of the clamping elements and rearranged in a row. The length of the clamping element step corresponds to that of the housing raster. Finally a housing is put on the series of cable connectors which are released from the clamping elements.
