Abstract

The plumb line with weight at one end of flexible cord is wound onto a bobbin in a casing. The bobbin has spring system to wind up the cord when not required to provide a pocket plumb line. A weight (1) is attached to end of cord (2) which is attached to bobbin (3) in a flat casing (4). The bobbin is mounted onto spiral spring (5) such that it winds cord onto bobbin. A push button 7) brake has claw (8) which is pressed against drum by spring (9). The other half of casing encloses a measuring tape (13) similarly wound on spring (14) loaded bobbin (12).
