Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé et à une installation de traitement du tabac. Selon l'invention, on humidifie et chauffe les fibres pour les assouplir, puis les soumet à un processus de séchage dans lequel l'extraction d'humidité varie alternativement à une fréquence élevée entre des valeurs élevées et des valeurs faibles. L'invention permet d'augmenter le pouvoir de remplissage des fibres de tabac.
