Abstract

The plough with two pairs of ploughshares mounted on a central frame (5) has a sensing wheel (7) mounted at the end of the frame. The wheel is mounted on a swinging arm (8) attached to an adaptor (11) at the end of the frame. The axis of reversal (13) is formed by a spindle (17) mounted on the adaptor. A pin (9) through this adaptor acts as the hinge pin allowing the wheel to rise and fall. At the end of the spindle is a stop (12) whick keeps the whole mounting for the wheel rigid. The adaptor includes locking members (25, 26) top and bottom, and also another lock at the top with a swinging latch arm (27).
