Abstract

The fastener uses a spring loaded bolt (6) to effect the radial expansion of an elastomer sleeve (1) in the end of a tubular arm (12), thus, fixing the arm (12) relative to a support plate (8), and uses residual spring elasticity to permit angular arm movements without bolt fracture. The sleeve may house onto and into the arm, also housing onto a packing plate (4), and locating a cylindrical bell shaped ram (2) with clearance. A stepped bolt (6) is wound to compress the sleeve in the axial sense and to compress the spring partially.
