Abstract

The half-frame comprises an upper horizontal bridge (2b) which supports the nose piece (4) and curves downwards (9a) at each end to locate the side arms (3a). The nose piece has a cavity (6) in it and each side arm hinge extends forwards to form a recess provided with a tongue (10a,10b). Each lens has a slot (11a,11b) in its outer side, positioned over the tongue. The inner side of each lens has a shaped lug (12a,12b) which rests inside the nose cavity; the lugs are firmly held by a clip (7) pushed in and closing the cavity.
