Abstract

The hinge permits the open door to be pivoted flat onto the container side. At closure an external wall rebate (13,15) may locate the hung edge (12), and a channel section (39), containing a rubber bearing pad (40) may house the free edge (35). The hinge incorporates two rotatable vertical axles (19,24) with a definite horizontal offset. Sleeves fixed to the wall (2) locate the outer axle (19), and the inner axle (24) is similarly connected to the door (7), with radial outer axle cantilevers to inner axle sleeves completing the assembly.
