Abstract

Reduced thickness of a flat wrist watch is achieved through the decreased number of overlaid parts due to the application of electronic components. The design limits the number of stacked parts to the housing, dial discs and a glass cover. The spacing between the discs is sufficient to ensure their free motion, which is controlled by a motor and electronic circuit. The hours and minutes indicating discs are transparent and their thickness is 0.05-0.15 mm. They may be of sapphire and exhibit teeth on their periphery. The discs are stacked in a specified manner and may be provided with respective markings. The minutes discs may be incorporate in an hour disc. The toothing may be provided directly on the sapphire discs, or on a peripheral metal ring. The bottom plate may be also of glass.
